In one of our projects, we decided to bring to life a character from our childhood: the smurf.
The process began by drawing the helping orthogonal planes.

Once finished, the orthogonal planes have been introduced into Maya, where the modeling process started.
At the end of the modeling of the character, texturing and rendering took place.

The final step was orchestrating a lip-sync animation.

Ongoing project
Building a city, a complex landscape, brings a challenge for any 3D artist.
Obtaining a procedural model is, of course easy, but 3D modeling by reference represents the ultimate challenge.
The project started out by acquiring/making a simple map of the city and squaring out the work areas.

Modeling began by reference, using digital images; line by line, surface after surface...
